Bathroom waterproofing coordination
Bathroom waterproofing and plumbing must be coordinated, but they are not interchangeable. Blackstone can discuss waterproofing within renovation work; confirm the exact responsible installer and scope for your project.

A leak is not always a pipe fault
Water appearing after a shower may come from a supply connection, waste, enclosure or waterproofing failure. Record when it appears and which surfaces are wet. Regrouting without investigating the cause may leave the underlying problem unresolved.
Substrate, drains and penetrations
The waterproofing system must suit the prepared surfaces, drain details and penetrations. Installation details and checks should follow the selected system and applicable requirements. Do not mix products or improvise around a drain based on a generic internet diagram.
Agree who owns each stage
Specify preparation, waterproofing installation, checks, tiling and plumbing connections in the scope. Shared responsibility without a clear handover can leave defects unnoticed. Ask who will approve the area before it is covered.
Repairing an existing wet area
Access may involve removing finishes, drying affected surfaces and rebuilding the agreed area. Surface sealant is not a universal repair. A site assessment establishes whether a local repair or broader reinstatement is appropriate.
